DRIVER'S EDUCATION CLASS
FOR HOMESCHOOLED STUDENTS
FALL 2026
NOTE: The Driving Instructor Mr. Jackson will collect a $65 fee from all participants (GHE & non-GHE members) at the time of the class.
When: October 12-16, 2026 [Monday - Friday]
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Students must attend the entire session every day. When you sign up you are committing to all 5 days. Please don't email asking for exceptions.
Where: Calvary Baptist Church McLeansville, 5585 Burlington Road, McLeansville, NC 27301
Ages: Must be 14.5 or older on the first day of class to take the class. This means the student's birth date must be 04/12/2012 or before to register for the class.
Cost: To take the class with GHE, there is a $15 fee for non-GHE members.
All participants (GHE & non-GHE) will also be charged a $65 fee that will be collected by the Driving Instructor at the time of the class.

NOTES:
- The class must have at least 20 homeschooled students from Guilford County. Homeschooled students only, please.
- If the homeschooled student resides outside of Guilford County, there is a $250 fee for the behind-the-wheel portion of the class.
- Students must attend the entire session every day. When you sign up you are committing to all 5 days. Please don't email asking for exceptions.
- If you are registering more than one student, you can register more than once with the same parent contact (login) information. You do not need to create multiple accounts.
- The behind-the-wheel portion of the class is usually completed within 3 months after the classroom portion is finished, but can vary based on Mr. Jackson's availability.

WHAT TO BRING:
1. Bring a photocopy of the student’s birth certificate on the first day of class. The copy will not be returned.
2. Bring check or money order for $65 made out to NCDS on the first day of class. Put student’s name in the memo in the bottom left corner of the check. NCDS stands for NC Driving School.
2. Bring a lunch & snacks every day. Students can eat throughout the class. Please email us if your student has food allergies, please.
3. Bring a black pen for filling out paperwork on the first day.
4. Students residing outside Guilford County - The driving instructor will let you know when/who to pay for the behind-the-wheel portion of the class. This is only for the students whose residential address is outside Guilford County.
